Cultural Diversity

-What is cultural diversity? Explain why it is important to respect diversity?
Every single one of us is unique, different from others, no one is the same. We can come from different cultures, countries of the world. We might be different in appearance, language, beliefs, personality and beliefs. Just like the phrase "Cultural Diversity" which means the varieties in people, characteristics, societies and cultures on the whole world. In any culture, there is a majority and many monorities. The diverse may also appear in the cloth we wear and the music we listen.
With different cultures, people would express their feelings, the way they act and talk might be different from others. For instance, in some countries, when they talk, they use eye contacts a lot while in other countries, making eye contacts would be consider as rude. In Singapore, you only use your right hand to do daily works while using your left hand will be see as an insult. Culture Diversity creates variety traditions. Imagine having no differences and think about how boring a meal could be without Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Korean and the Western food! Having unique and differences in cultures make our life more interesting, so we should show respectful toward anyone no matter where they from. People from diverse cultures bring language skills, new ways of thinking, and creative solutions to difficult problems and negotiating skills.
Cultural Diversity makes the earth a diverting place to be on. Think about living in a world where we all think the same, act the same and think about how boring it would be!

Emma grades herself: - I would probably give myself about 11/12.
